Hello guys, got my first mac the other day, a base model 2011 MacMini (upgrades to come). It's mainly going to be used as a HTPC, I'm wanting to watch Freeview (I'm in the UK) on it whilst being able to record another channel, it will be ran through directly through my aerial. I was wondering, rather than buying a Diversity, if I could just buy 2 EyeTv DTT's to get the desired effect? Does it work within EyeTV? And what would I need to use the one aerial for the two tuners?

Thanks!

That configuration has been reported to work sometimes but Elgato won't support it.
If your Freeview signal is strong enough you would only need a passive splitter for the aerial lead.
Unless you can get two basic tuners very cheaply indeed, my advice would be to buy a twin (diversity) tuner, which comes with an aerial splitter and is fully supported.
