EyeTV not communicating with ZephIR

Please help. i bought the new EyeTV Hybrid and it works fine. i am connected to a cable set up box. i purchased the ZephIR IR blaster and i can control my cable box manually using the ZephIR program but it doesn't change channels to record on its own. for some reason EyeTV isn't communicating to the ZephIR on its own. what am I doing wrong?
