eyeTV? What do I need

I've searched wiki & the forums here but can't make sense of eyeTV. Do I need a cable subscription and the Internet to use it, & what exactly does it do.

You need an Eyetv and free usb port.. EyeTv product page...

you just need a decent tv signal from your normal aerial. elgato do products for old analogue over the air signals, digital over air (freeview in the UK), cable, sky etc. They cover most situations.

Internet to get the tv listings. I use my eyeTV DTT every day and it works perfectly. A really professional product. But it does require a good signal.
