This tweak is awesome. It changes your light settings on your iPhone automatically after sundown to reduce the blue glow emitted by your phone in low light situations. Reduces eyestrain and just makes the phone easier to look at at night, I suggest you try it. It also switches back to normal lighting during the day.

Have been using and have experienced no noticeable battery drain

I was skeptical at first, but this actually works for me. I had chronic headaches after staring at my iP4 and MBA during the evening, but after a couple hours use with f.lux I've yet to experience any. I've since installed it on my own MBA and families devices also.

One concern I had which was mentioned was the affect on the devices battery life. I raised this issue with the devs on their FAQ:

According to our logs, f.lux uses 2 seconds of CPU a day. You shouldn't even notice a difference - I only put that line in there cause Mike made me.

Location Services is on, but that's in background mode too. We're trying to minimize it even more for people who aren't traveling all the time.

Quite happy so far with my experiences. :)

Interesting...

Just installed on my iPad, which I use a lot more at night than the phone, especially for reading. While I don't have eyestrain problems, I have massive sleep issues, so I'm willing to try anything that could help with that.

Glad to see they put in an on-off switch though, as I also do some photo editing on my iPad. Last thing I'd want is to badly screw up the color balance on images I was working on.

This looks very well thought out.

This is an excellent tweak, it made my must have list.

I read on the phone late at night and previously I had to change to white text on black and floor the brightness slider to make it comfortable in a dark/dim room. Don't need to do that now and that situation more or less takes care of itself without a bunch of fiddling with settings at night and again resetting things in the morning.

Only thing is I wish they would have a slider rather than four fixed settings/color temperatures. I often find I want something in between. Maybe putting too much thought into it, supposed to be a set and forget thing.

compatibility with ios5

Hows the compatibility with the ios5 betas? Anyone try this one yet?

Also love this tweak. Have it on my phone and all of my computers as well, not sure I can go back to anything before this...

Another +1 from me. I was actually going to post about this yesterday when I saw it appear in my Cydia changes. I have f.lux on all my computers and love it...glad to see that it made its way onto my phone as well.
