I am using a medical windows-based program called McKesson on my MacBook Air thru 2X Client. One of the features in the program uses the F10 key. When I use the F10 key the volume control comes up. I have simultaneously pressed the command, option or control keys in conjunction with the F10 key but nothing comes about. Please help.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried changing the settings under system preferences/keyboard? If you look under keyboard (not keyboard shortcuts), you can check the box saying "use all F1, F2 et. keys as standard function keys" which should let you use it as F10, and then you can press fn+F10 to change your volume.

Hope that helps!

Thanks, followed your instructions. Only difference was use of the "control" key instead of the "function" key with F10. Worked well.
