I've never used Google's Pixel range of phones as I've been an iPhone user since 2007. But there is one thing I'm especially envious of Pixel owners for - Google's first party fabric cases.

If you haven't seen them before, they are very similar in construction to Apple's leather case, but with fabric:

Does anyone know of anything similar for iPhone? The only ones I can find either have a card holder on the back, a plastic border around the edge, a kickstand, or are very cheap and only come in black or grey.

I find Apple's silicone case to go shiny and slippery within a matter of weeks, and although I have used them in the past, I'm not a massive fan of their leather cases as I personally don't love the idea of wrapping my phone in cow.

We've have essentially the same leather/silicone cases since 2014, I'd love Apple to come out with a first-party fabric offering this year, but not holding my breath.

I don't know if they're available for the newer models, but Vaja makes a similar case for the iPhone XS Max.
The case feels great on the phone. My gripe with the case (and, to me, it's a major one) is that the buttons are extremely stiff. It almost feels like they produced a solid case but forgot about the buttons, so they just glued metal buttons on the sides and called it a day. If the buttons were responsive at all, this would be my favorite case.

That looks pretty great (apart from the button issues), but unfortunately I have an 11 Pro and they don't seem to make it for that model

I found some more companies that might make a similar case: Native Union Cliq, Evutec, and Incipio Esquire.

The problem with fabric cases is that they look great when new and out of the box, however, after a week or so when they have been in and out of pockets constantly, the fabric will eventually start to fray and produce lint all over it, and will probably look a mess.

My Pixel 2 cases haven’t done that. Now after almost 2 years there’s a slight bit of fraying but the degredation isn’t any worse than what I’ve experienced with other cases and they are MUCH sturdier than official Apple silicone cases which I’ve had crumble at the corners in a matter of a couple of months. Old silicone cases didn’t but more recent ones seem of a lower quality material.

I do love the Pixel fabric cases but I don’t know that I’d trust them to have much in the way of impact protection.

Wow they look great. Unfortunately I don't think they ship to the UK.
That’s a shame. Possibly they might at any other time, but right now our post has slowed down and I can’t imagine how international post is being affected. My mom lives only a few miles from me and didn’t get her Mother’s Day card that we mailed out the middle of last week.
