Face down detection

Since upgrading to iOS 17 yesterday I have noticed that face down detection isn’t working. Meaning if I place my iPhone 13 face down on a table or in my pocket the screen stays lit.

Edit: after some research I’ve found it’s working as intended. The screen takes about 5 seconds to shut off as opposed to immediately.
