Face down only shows time

Ever since 9.2 released, my watch switches between the dimmed always on watch face or just showing the digital time in white only. Pretty annoying since I prefer it always showing my picked watch face but dimmed. Looked all over the battery and display settings and don’t see a way to get it to always be my watch face but dimmed.

Turn it off and back on. Same happened to me.
