Face ID and swiping

ok so got my X and I’m digging the new Face ID, only one problem though. When I tap the phone which lights up the display all I do is look at it and it unlocks however you still need to swip to open the phone, is there a setting to enable/disable that? I would like to look at it and it know it’s me and joe. To the home screen.

This has been discussed multiple times in multiple threads. The reason you have to swipe is because of notifications. If you get a notification and pick up the phone to see it, you would miss it if the phone went immediately to the home screen.

If you want the option to bypass this, send Apple feedback.
