this just happened to me yesterday. :(
Googled it and apparently this was a thing with the IPhone X. Couldn’t find anyone with the Xs that has this problem.

Restarted the phone and the problem went away, so far I have had zero issues with this phone the construction is great if not perfect, really like it.

So anyone know if this was a hardware thing with the X or Xs. Or just a software glitch.
Phone has been well taken care of, case and screen protector since day one and no water damages.

Thanks.

Never had one problem with Faceid in 11 months. I would suggest bringing it to Apple to have it checked out. If you actually had a notification that Faceid was disabled, it most likely a hardware issue with your particular phone
