iPhone XS Max Face ID doesn’t work for

My Face ID suddenly stopped working. It keeps asking me to lower or raise the camera. Any help will be appreciated

That's a new one. Have you tried restarting your iPhone? I find a restart seems to be the remedy for a lot of weird issues. You could always reset FaceID in settings and reprogram your face in.

I have tried everything including resetting the phone. The camera sees me but keeps saying I am out of view or the camera is too low or high.

Might actually be a hardware issue then. Is the front facing camera still working in photos?
