Based on what we know about Face ID, it doesn't appear eye contact is necessary for face ID to work. With that being said, could this increase the speed of Face ID as one takes the phone out of your pocket and holds it near your face?

One thing I love about touch ID is by the time i reach for my phone and bring it into sight, it's been unlocked. Theoretically, if face ID works fast enough, it should have the same affect.

Thoughts?
