Maybe its just because the system works perfectly well as it is and doesn't need improvement?
Just like the TouchID button - it got to a stage where it worked perfectly well so wasn't updated, until it was replaced......
Remember, rumors and just that, rumors. Its all speculation. Nothing is confirmed until release, so although people can give you their thoughts, no-one can give you a 'correct' answer....
