Facebook App always online ?

Hi,
I'm not sure if this is a good forum but here is my problem.

I use my mac and my iPhone to log in to Facebook. Quite often, even though my mac is off and my iPhone Facebook app is NOT running, people see me as online in Facebook.

This is quite random ! Sometime I'm online sometimes not. It's super annoying. Any ideas what's the problem ?

Yes, if you have the app installed on phone, it's always online with FB.

In my experience, you have to be logged out from both the Messenger and the Facebook app for you to be offline in Facebook. Sometimes you'll appear as cellphone-available but I haven't managed to figure out when this is.

A word to the wise....keeping yourself logged into Facebook chat will use a lot of battery
