Facebook App doesn't post my status/can't upload pics

As of last week the facebook iPhone app doesn't post my "status update" to the recent activity but it posts it to my profile wall.
When going to face books mobile or desktop site i do not have this problem.
Also when trying to upload mobile pictures it gives me a black screen and says it can't be uploaded.
Any ideas?

I think it's the server. This will happen sometimes even when I'm posting status updates from my normal browser. I'll post an update and it will show under items that are 3 hours old, if at all (until later).
