Facebook app high badge count

My Facebook app always has a high amount on badge notifications, but I never get banners or sound. I do have them enable in notifications. Also I can turn off all mobile push notifications on the Facebook, but I will still see a badge with 20 sometimes 30 on it. Does anyone know how to solve this?

Hold your finger on the icon till it wiggles and tap delete then never install it again! Bad bad app

You're jailbroken right?

Install PushTone and get the notification sound out of the FB app and install it as a ringtone. Use Pushtone for the FB app with that sound.

Thanks, I've heard of push tone. The high badge alert bugs me. My wife had Facebook on her iPhone as well and this isn't an issue for her. She has lots of this checked off in her push notification setting on the Facebook app.

Right now I have a badge that says 20. When I open the app there are no notifications. Very strange. I have tried reinstalling and reboots with no luck.

If you have iCleaner, maybe uninstall FB, run iCleaner and then reinstall?

Yes I do have that and I do that every time I delete an app. I have even ran iLex RAT and did a full restore.

I turned off the badge icon. Problem solved #

I can view notifications in a browser but that won't change the badge number on the app on my iPhone. If I get an FB Message and view it in Messenger it doesn't come off the badge number on the FB app until I open the FB app.

I don't know what could be causing your high badge count.

What really sucks is if I use open notifier there will always be a status bar icon for face book.

Oh well. I guess turning off the badge capability will have to do for now.
