Facebook app on iPad - delete a chat

I have successfully deleted the chat history from one of my "friends" from my Facebook account on my computer, but I cannot get rid of that chat history from my Favorites column on my iPad Air. I only seem to have the option of deleting line by line.
Can anyone help me delete the entire chat history from this one person from the iPad's Facebook page?

I managed to delete all the messages (and the name) of this person from the left side of the iPad's Facebook page, but that did not delete the conversation from the person under the right-side Favorites list.

There must be a way to do this! Please help.

Did you try deleting and reinstalling the app?

Yes, I did remove the app from my iPad and reinstall it. All my settings remained the same.
