Facebook causing high battery drain (iPad Air 2)

Not sure why Facebook is draining my iPad's battery literally overnight to 0%. I've never had any problems like this on any of my other devices that Facebook is installed on. I've noticed this happen twice in the past month or so, but this is the first time I've looked into it since I woke up with a dead iPad.

There's a new update to the Facebook app. Maybe that will solve your issues.

Even the newest app uses more energy than it needs to use. They don't care. They just want to learn everything so it keeps working, to some extent.

Facebook is the only app I will remove from memory when I am not using it.

I opt to use Paper - Facebooks alternative.

Seems to be kinder on my battery
