Facebook chat notification loud sound / iPhone 5S 5C not 5

When someone chats with me, I get the facebook ding to notify me that they are doing so, but its very loud, and is most certainly going to damage the speaker, tried this on the 5C, 5S and they both do it, however my 5 doesn't.

Any ideas?

hold one of your apps until they shake and then delete the Facebook app
