Facebook chat with Safari

Hi all, i've an annoying problem with safari and facebook's chat. well, people chat me but i don't receive their messages, the only thing i can do is refresh the page and i received it as mail message. with firefox i haven't this problem, i tried to restore safari, deleted cookies and cache but no way. could you help me, please? thanks!

Use iChat with Facebook chat instead. Far superior.

Try Facebook chat in Adium instead. I've been using it forever, works great.

I've had this problem as well. Some of my (non-Apple) friends said they've been having the same problem. I think it might have to do with the new messaging system they're implementing.
