Facebook crashing Chrome on MBP

For some reason, Facebook is killing Chrome on my MBP, after an initial search on google I found that Sophos Anti Virus causes it, so I removed that, it still crashes but the mac doesn't completely freeze, but the issue is doing my head in!!

Any ideas? Or where I could look?

are you sure you completely removed the sophos malware? It can be very difficult to get rid of.

I use Facebook with Chrome and have no problems, but I never installed the Sophos malware.
