When i am typing facebook.com on my mac
its directing me to a website called mediaplex.com, are you guys having the same issue or do i have a virus on my mac. Can any one tell me whats going o n.

Have you looked at System Preferences > Network > AirPort/Ethernet > Advanced > DNS?
What does it say there?

There is a part called "Why am I being redirected to other sites?" in the following FAQ:
Mac Virus/Malware Info by GGJstudios
There are currently no viruses for Mac OS X in public circulation, only a handful of trojans and other malware, which have to be installed manually via entering the administrator password.
The only anti-virus you need to protect your Mac is education and common sense.

Even after following these steps
i am still redirected to the same site, can any one please help me

Go to System Preferences > Network
There you will see a padlock icon in the lower left corner and the note "Click the lock to make changes".
Click the lock and enter your administrator password, so you can change DNS servers
with your network selected on the left column, click the "Advanced" button
Click the DNS tab to see the listing of your DNS Servers
If any of the DNS servers are greyed out after entering your admin password, refer to this: 10.5: Disable DHCP-specified DNS servers
Click the "-" icon to remove all existing DNS servers
Click the "+" icon to add the following servers.
You may choose either OpenDNS or Google servers (not both sets):

OpenDNS:
Primary DNS Server: 208.67.222.222
Secondary DNS Server: 208.67.220.220

Google:
Primary DNS Server: 8.8.8.8
Secondary DNS Server: 8.8.4.4
When you've completed your changes, click "OK" to close the Advanced settings window
Click "Apply" on the Network window to save your changes

I have changed setting to OPEN dns.

Mediaplex is an adserver that Facebook uses so I tend to think it is a browser issue (like a pop up window is opening in the same tab instead of a new window) or a FB issue due to something on your home page. Let me ask a few questions:

1. How many different browsers have you tried?
2. If you type something like facebook.com/(your user name), do you still have the problem? Or, is it just when you type facebook.com and nothing else?
3. Have you installed anything recently and given it your admin password?
