I removed the FB app when I got this iPad, about six weeks ago.

Everything was fine until last week, and now I get this pop-up message every 5 minutes or so, prompting me to enter my FB-password in 'Settings'. But Facebook in Settings is greyed out and not accessible.
To make sure, I reinstalled the Facebook app, but same isht.

It is really annoying, especially as the prompt will interrupt and pause movies.

I have posted this on Apple's support forum as well. Can anybody tell me what is going on and how to fix this?

I'm on an iPad 4 LTE with iOS 6.1.3
