facebook & safari annoyances

this happens on Safari on facebook on my facebook chat. any solutions please?

google chrome is displays it fine but i prefer safari as a browser.

I've been having issues with it not working in Chrome actually. It simply hangs after a while. In Safari it's been working fine. I think it's Facebook's crappy code honestly.
