Facebook: Sharing issue

Have a question, more concerning the Facebook for iPhone app, but thought I'd ask here anyway.

Friend has a problem where she can only share something to her wall via the app, but to others using the desktop version. Trying to allow it that she could share to other people's wall via the app as well.

She has an iPad & it works fine on that.

I checked a bunch of potential reasons but not making any headway.

Facebook wants all the data to be locked inside Facebook and only to be shared within their apps, therefore they are locking you to like and share everything inside it, nothing else.
