Resolved Facebook sync

Hi guys,

I'm posting this here because I am running iOS 8 (beta 5) but I always had this issue.

What do I need to do to get my contact on my iPhone "talking" to Facebook to get profile pictures, birthdate, etc. it only works by itself with a few of my contacts and I don't know why. I have no idea on how to get all my contact that have a Facebook account to get them synced together.

Have you tried going into the facebook part of settings and tried to "update all contacts"?

Yes, I tried that but no success at all.

Do their names on your phone match their names on Facebook?

Facebook and Apple changed the way they work together. You can now only get contact information from someone who's Facebook profile has information set as public. A great alternative to this is to use the SYNC.ME app. Its far superior.

I had this problem and fixed it by manually adding each person's Facebook email (or whatever email address was listed on their Facebook profile) to their contact card in the Contacts app - then when I re-synced, it was also to "find" those contacts and add the picture/birthday, etc.
