Facebook Watch app crashing on Apple TV 4k

Is anyone else having the same issue? Up until the other day i've never had a problem using the app, but now everytime you go to open it, it crashes and takes you straight back to the home screen. I've tried deleting it and re-installing and restarting...and it still crashes.

Started happening for me too. Thought it was just an issue with mine but maybe everyone is getting it and hopefully that means a fix will be out soon.
 
The facebook tv app on apple tv is very terrible

the version is 47 released 2 june 2020

the app didnt get any update or any fix , i use it to watch facebook gaming live streams

there is another issue your profile picture will not show up

and sometimes the home tab will not load and give error

fb app is top 20 on apple tv in australia and its been neglected for so long and they are not updating the app for bug fixes

while the facebook app on chromcast with google tv will get an update each two weeks and all bugs never got fixed and the bugs will stay the same

Im sick of this error

the other tabs like : gaming , live , your videos and settings will load fine

Still no fix. I’m finally able to get it to load for a few seconds, but it will still eventually force close before I’m able to open any videos. Very frustrating.

Edit: after fooling around with it a bit more, I’m able to avoid the crashing by quickly going to search before the home tab loads. Then I can search for any videos/pages. I can even watch previously recorded videos. However when I try to load a live stream that’s when it crashes. So it’s an issue with the live videos.
 
YES! It's doing the same thing on my Apple TV 4K too! It started several days ago, exactly as the original poster and others have described. Prior to several days ago it was working fine. Seems like they are taking a long time to fix it, makes one wonder if they even care or intend to fix it!
 
Having same issues as others here, started a couple of days ago, reinstalled app didn’t help, restarted ATV didn’t fix it either...

I have logged mine as I miss FW on my Apple TV, thanks for the help, hopefully someone will fix it.

Thanks man. Yeah me too! I’ve installed it on my smart tv and its so laggy and the user experience is so much better on Apple TV.

Same situation. Ended up mirroring my phone to watch on Apple TV.
 
I saw a news item that Facebook might shutdown watch in some countries because of new laws requiring Facebook to pay media companies.
I’m having same issues and not sure if it’s related
 
I've never had an issue on mine. Use it every Sunday for the livestream of our church service. My profile pic hasn't showed up in months but it doesn't crash.
 
Mine automatically updated to the latest version (48) and it's working now! No more crashes :)
