To get it to work I read that you must disable "biteSMSsb" under Mobile Substrate Addons. This did in fact fix the Facebook issue, however what exactly is "biteSMSsb"? What does that stand for?

So that means quick reply or quick compose would not be usable right?

Hi,

Not nearly, according to the above poster, its a addon for sbsettings that allows you to toggle on/off your bitesms popups. removing it will not remove the popup itself, it will just not allow you to go into sbsettings and disable bitesms popups.

Note: correct me if I'm wrong, but its obvious by what the above poster mentioned that thats the case.

Thanks
AE

My question is about biteSMS, which a jailbreak is required to have, which is a hack, for the iPhone...

To aelalfy: Thank you for clarifying that.

yea ignore the guy above, hes probably lonely in his moms basement trying to find something to cry about.

Regarding what I meantioned above, like I said before I'm not 100% sure, I'll just saying what I think the abovementioned poster said by his statement. I dont even know how to bitesmssb or where to find it. If you let me know how, I can see what it is.

Thanks
AE

These are the steps to get to it

SBSettings>More>Mobile Substrate Addons>biteSMSsb on/off

cowsrus said that it disables biteSMS popups via SBSettings. However I don't know if he meant that you won't be able to use the SBSettings toggle for biteSMS or that you will not be able to use biteSMS quick reply and quick compose features.

1. Open SBSettings

2. Tap More to open the SBSettings properties

3. Tap Mobile Substrate Addons under the System Options Section.

4. Find the addon called biteSMSsb. Toggle it to OFF.

After doing this Facebook works fine.

Do you know what it biteSMSsb does?

It really depends on what the addon does, I dont have sbsettings installed yet because I have a problem with activator. Anyways if the addon disables bitesms pops, then turning it off will mean that you want bitesms popups. so there is no problem. If the toggle is to enable bitesms popups and you disable to make facebook work, then you wont be able to use bitesms popup. Of course this is self explainatory. I orginially thought the guy said to remove that addon. which makes sense, because if this addon disables bitesms popups and the OP wants to have popups appear, then removing it wont hurt the OP.

PS sorry for the confusion and my "lots" of talking.

Thanks

I just tested it and it does in fact disable biteSMS quick compose. Just like the other guy, I haven't been able to test quick reply.

Guess I'm going to have to live without a Facebook app.

Edit: Guess it does kill quick reply

Facebook has an update. Unfortunately, it does not fix the issue with biteSMS. I know Facebook wouldn't directly work for a fix that involved biteSMS, but I was hoping the big fixes made it work.

SO, for now the only fix is to disable BITEsmsSB which disables quick reply/compose, right?

The other fix is to delete FB 3.2 and install 3.1.4 from installous, right?

Do you think that bite will fix this problem so we can run both of them together in the future?
