Not that I think Apple would ever go down this road.. but something to think about..
If the concept/use of FaceID biometrics ultimately gets copied by other manufactures (particularly those associated with Android), it might not be too far fetched to see it used in conjunction with paid advertising as a means to make sure the user watches the advert!
An easy example would be those annoying full screen adverts and videos you have to watch when using free apps/games. At the moment I would guess that most people simply do something else while the annoying 30second video advert plays. But advertisers may hope to leverage the fact that future phones can detect if the user is actually looking at the device to force the user to pay attention!
Again, thanks to Apples ongoing stance on protecting user privacy, I would think that they would never allow such a use within iOS, but other companies will likely see it as a great way to increase advertising revenue - as I guess you can charge a lot more if you can guarantee the users are indeed watching your adverts!
