Hi all. I see similar questions, but nothing specific to audio cutting out when people are typing in a word doc. I need to take notes during meetings, and every time I type, the audio shorts out. TIA for ideas.

Have you tested with any other apps, such as TextEdit or Notes to see if it happens with them as well? If they work ok, then just use one of those apps instead and copy/paste into a Word document afterwards.

Have you tried rebooting your MacBook Pro?

Definitely sounds like a very odd issue.

Rebooting I have tried. I'll try a different program, good idea. I wonder if it's the sound of the typing...

Are you muted when you type? Wondering if audio duplexing is crapping out when it picks up sound on your end (this happens to me sometimes on phone calls -- incoming audio cuts out when I'm talking if it's a poor signal).
