FaceTime Audio disconnecting from Wi-Fi?

I was in an hour-long call just now and my phone is literally not even 5 feet away from my router with direct line of sight. LTE signal is horrendous here at my location yet the phone kept bouncing off of Wi-Fi onto LTE even if I re-connected manually in Wi-FI settings. Any ideas?? 10.3.3 beta 6.
