I am running Catalina 10.15.7 and my FaceTime seems to be freezing up when trying to make a FaceTime call.. the audio begins but the call on my screen shows only the video from my camera.. after several minutes and beach ball spinning it finally will switch over to the video of the other person... any fixes for this???

No I have no other third party webcam software installed... it’s my MacBook.

It keeps saying “connecting..” but only the audio works for several, and I mean several minutes.. finally after several minutes of it saying connecting it will finally connect and show me the video feed of the person I am FaceTiming. During this waiting period for it to connect it will give me a spinning beach ball on the FaceTime app... and in the dock the app says “application not responding” when right clicked on the dock icon.
