I have been trying to talk to my daughter using FaceTime. She uses an iPhone 4s, I have an iMac. I can hear her, not that loudly but I can hear. She cannot hear me at all.
I understand there seems to be a problem with FaceTime and OS and iOS. Is that the case? Is there a work around? I am running Mavericks on my Mac, she has the latest iOS on her phone.
Everything seemed to work up until recently. I cannot say if the problem started when I went to Mavericks.
Thanks,
Ron

I had this same issue recently. I found that I did not have the internal microphone enabled. Facetime menu>Video>Internal Microphone.

Hope that helps, it did for me...

I had this same issue and noticed I did not have the Internal Microphone selected. I fixed this and received a phone call yesterday evening and still the person I was attempting to talk to could not hear me.
