Hi folks!
Recently I cannot get the FaceTime camera on my older MBP to work.
Is there some way to diagnose it if it can be reset or something? Or that it just is broken..
Have tried searching but haven't really found an answer.

Have you done a wipe and restore?
Do you mean reinstalling MacOS? I did it so it would be like new so my wife could use it for her needs.
It was when she needed to use Skype that it was clear that the camera wasn't working.

It doesn't work for Facetime either? I would try another fresh install to make sure it's not corrupt software. At that point I think it's hardware failure.
 
Yeah, it doesn't work with FaceTime either. Probably HW failure as it is pretty old now. Thanks.

No worries. If it was newer and you took it to the Apple store they would require a complete to restore to make sure it wasn't software corruption.
