FaceTime disconnects when opening other apps

So this has become a thing - I'm on a FaceTime, and I open another file for reference (say, a Word file), and I get disconnected from call.
I can call back in with file open and everything okay, but if I open another file, there's the risk it'll do it again.

I don't recall this being a thing with earlier (pre-26) OSs previously.

M2 Mac Mini w/ 8GB RAM. Tahoe 26.0.1

I appreciate that the RAM might be part of the problem, but still....
