So there have been many of us that have turned push off, turned ping off etc and still according to Netstatus, had an active carrier push connection going on. It turns out that FaceTime is keeping an open push connection. I turned it off and it eliminated the active push connection. It was using cellular data.

Since I disabled that battery has been great, In 8 hours of standby, starting at 100%, I was down to 99%. Again, no push or notifications were active.
 
And what good does all that battery do you
if you have everything turned off.
