Facetime issues

Hi,

I can Facetime from my ipad to the wife's phone. She can facetime me also. I tried answering on my Mac, but the camera icon was crossed out and the call wouldn't answer.

Now I tried calling her from the ipad. No issues. Calling her from the mac and it shows that "... is not available for FaceTime"

Any ideas why I can facetime from an Ipad but not from a 2012 macbook pro?

Is Facetime setup with the email / phone number you can be contact on on the mbp?
