The other person can never here me unless I literally put the mic next to my mouth. Would a mac genius laugh me out of the store with the complaint?

It's not the other persons phone either because she can hear me fine on the new iPad.

What about using the speaker for a phone call? Can people hear you then?

Sometimes and under same circumstances

Your Mic is probably broken and what people on the other end are hearing is the Noise-Canceling Mic (located next to the headphone jack).

My cousin had the same issue a while ago with her iPhone 4 and a Genius replaced it with no fuss.

So if I say I think it's that above problem it will be an issue. I can imagine it working fine if they tested it and I would look like a tit lol

i'm actually having the same problem, it used to work fine for me until last night I noticed it.

I thought maybe a facebreak update broke my facetime, however once I uninstalled that it still didn't work.

also fyi, I know its not my mic because Skype still works flawless

TC, do you have a jailbroken phone with facebreak and did you get the update?
