iPod touch Facetime not ringing on laptop?

Hopefully I have this in the correct forum.

My daughter is getting the ipod touch for Christmas and I am trying to use facetime. Calling from the ipod to my computer - my computer makes no indication that there is a call trying to come in.

If someone can point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it!

Sometimes, if the two FaceTime devices are using the same internet connection it may not go through or it may take a few tries.

Ahh, thank you. I had it once where the call went through and a notification popped up when I had facetime up on my computer but there was no "noise" indication. The next time I tried I didn't even get the pop up so I will try again.

Apparently I had to have her in my own contact list. I just added her and now can communicate both ways.
