iPod touch Facetime not working

Just got my ipod today . Its amazingggggg just like the 1st and second gens . But im having a problem with facetime . I cant get it to work with anyone . I tried to people over wifi and nothing . Both had iphones but was using wifi . Whats wrong ?

If they haven't updated to iOS 4.1, it won't work between an iphone 4 and a ipod touch 4g, I believe. At least it didn't for me.

It will work between an iPod Touch 4g and an iPhone, I tested it with my roommate who has the iPhone 4
