I downloaded the beta but I get this message when I open Facetime.

An internal FaceTime error occurred.

There was a problem with FaceTime. You need to quit and open FaceTime again.

any suggestions, beside quitting and opening again?

What version of OS X? FaceTime requires Snow Leopard...

I downloaded it yesterday and was able to successfully connect on my 2008 MBP running 10.6.4.

You might want to try reinstalling if your problem persists.

I got it working fine on my mac pro and Macbook pro. Its super laggy, but it at least connects. I hope they get that connection issue fixed soon. This could be really cool

I am also running SL 10.6.4 but I have a MB 2007. maybe that is it?

Thanks for rubbing it in. now help me get it to work on mine!!!!!

I guess I would try uninstalling and reinstalling FaceTime.

Maybe close other applications? The only conflicts I can think of would be if anything is using the iSight camera. FaceTime wants the camera as soon as it opens. I guess that if you didn't have a network connection it might also get confused - it's a Beta after all
