I've been having an annoying issue for quite some time that seems to have gotten worse recently: Probably 50% of the time I log in to either of my two Macs, Facetime launches itself, and nearly every time it launches (but sometimes not!) it gives a message about my emergency calling address. It basically seems to be acting like I just enabled Calls from iPhone, but I've had that feature available since it first became available.

It's not computer specific--two different Macs--and Facetime is not in Login Items. It has persisted through at least one iPhone hardware upgrade and upgrading from iOS 12 to 13 (maybe 11 to 12 as well, it's been happening for a while). Plus it doesn't do it every time, just most of the time. I could probably fix it by disabling calling from iPhone, but I use that feature so I don't want to.

I've ignored it for months at least, but finally got the itch to do some searching, and while I found a couple of threads with people describing the exact same symptom, none had any solutions offered.

Anybody here having that? Suggestions of what might be causing it?

I had that happen several times after installing Catalina, but it appears to have resolved itself after a few days. Not sure what caused it, but I upgraded my phone and computer at the same time, so maybe there was simply some setup thing going on that I wasn't aware of.
