I'm using an iPhone 5 trying to Facetime another person using an iPhone 4s. The issue is when I try to call them using Facetime, the "beeping" Facetime outgoing ringer sound is very very low. I have all my sounds put up to the max but for some reason the Facetime "beeping" ringer is barely audiable? I can hear it but I have to put the speaker up to my ear to do so. How can I fix this?

noticed that too, call volume is fine thou

same issue here. I can say that it is an iPhone 5 issue. When I upgraded my 4S to iOS 6 it didn't have this issue. Seems like a quick iOS 6.01 fix.

Since I have had my iPhone 4 (purchased: Feb '11) this has been an issue. I have missed several Facetime calls because I cannot hear the ringtone for Facetime. No other functions within the phone have this type of "volume" anomaly.

Low volume

I had the same problem. However, doing a hard restart solved that problem (running iOS 6.0.1). I recommend you try that if the problem is still there. Hold power and home button until the Apple logo appears. Fixed other low volume issues too such as camera shutter sound, text message receiving/sending and FaceTime ringing. Best of luck! :)
