Facetime Screen Share is black (for support, this is not sharing videos)

I have used facetime screen sharing between two iphones without a problem for user support (not video sharing).

When I tried to use Facetime Screen sharing between two iPads for user support (not to watch a video or something) the connection initiates correctly but the shared screen which appears on my iPad is black.

Note: I do this using a facetime audio call and then request the screen share which worked fine on two iPhones. Any chance it has to be a Facetime Video call on iPads for screen sharing to work?

All devices are using latest version of iPadOS 18.

Any ideas on what is wrong?
