I don't know if it was just a design mistake, but if I have contacts that share the same phone number, or address or email, yet have their own AppleID, then facetimes screws up.
For example. My parents both have their own iPad, yet as they live in the same house and share the same phone number (yes happily married for 50 years), they each have their own AppleID for iMessage and Facetime. If I try and call my Mother, it shows her Photograph, but puts my Fathers name as the person calling. If I try and call my Father, it shows his name but puts my mothers photo from contacts.
My Daughter when I facetime from El Capitan, had her name, but my photograph. My apple id gives me a shared contacts through iCloud, and I have ZERO issues through my iPad.
I have done multiple re-installs with this terrible iMac, even trying taking it to an Apple Store and had the Genius do a clean install. Still getting issues (well beyond this one). Is it just a badly written OS or do you think its hardware issues causing my iMac to constantly mess up (though Apple is adamant that the hardware is fine)
