I cannot establish a connection with Facetime in the new beta.

Does anybody found a fix yet?

It's in the release notes that Facetime is disabled for Beta 2. Not sure why, but it looks like you'll have to wait until the next beta or roll back.

FT still works

I just updated to Beta 2 and my Facetime still works fine. I thought it was supposed to be disabled?.

Scratch that, it doesn't work.

I believe its disabled because in iOS 5 beta 3 youll be able to FaceTime over 3G. Friday is when they should release it. hopefully its ota and facetime is back and over 3g! :)

What exactly do you base that speculation on? or is it just diarreha of the mouth?

No. I remember seeing a screen shot on either this website, bgr, or engadget and on it was a toggle to allow FaceTime over 3G. The person that discovered it had this hack/mod thing to allow him to see like whats written in the code even if it wasnt released yet. I'll try to find the article.

Also, you can remake the pop up by turning off wifi and turning on airplane mode then go to facetime settings and it pops up. Also, the update should be this friday because they usually release it every 2 weeks and they released beta 2 2 fridays ago. I think it will be over the air because they enabled it because now you go to upday and it says, "Your software is up to date. No updates were found."
