FaceTime volume

Scenario- FaceTime video call on my iPad.
problem- Why oh why can I not control the volume? Audio comes out at a fixed level regardless of whether I’m using AirPods, the speakers, wired headphones..

Hi, this seems like an issue that may be an issue. The first thing I would do is restart your iPad. Is your iPad on the latest Software Update? If not try updating. Then try making sure that your volume buttons are working. And try turning up the volume in control center instead. It’s by your battery in the top right.
