I've used facetime for calls in/out for many years. I've used the WIFI version ever since I can remember. Apparently not any more.
I cannot "upgrade to wifi calling" on my iMac. "Call Failed" every time. If I just try again it's immedately. If I cancel and close out facetime then bring it back up it takes a second to fail but it will every time. I can use the "When your iphone is on the same network and on" but even that fails more than occasionally with my phone on the same network, on the same wifi base station.
I've logged out of the iphone, logged out of the imac, logged back in, turned off the wifi calling on each, turned off each and rebooted, allowed other macs to call and they work. Only the imac.
imac 10.15.7
iphone 14.1
I'm at a loss. I want to be able to call and get calls when the iphone isn't on or isn't in the house.
