Long story short I need to restore my iphone 11 from back up. I can’t restore from backup b/c it’s corrupted (long story). How do I get all my apps back? Assume I have to redownload everything right ?

You assume correctly. Without a backup you'll have to redownload them from the app store. Apps you paid for will still download so no need to re buy them
