Previously i've always got my iPhone's unlocked as soon as i bought them then JB'd it.

However this time i've got an iPhone 5 that i've been waiting ages for the factory unlock to become available (O2-UK) and have been using it JB'd already.

Was just about to order my unlock until i read through the FAQ's of the site that said that i need to restore the iPhone in order for the unlock to go through.

This presents me with a massive problem as 6.1.3 is not JB'able as we all know.

Is this correct or can you just put another network's sim in and it will unlock?

Thanks in advance...

A lot of unlocking guides suggest that but you don't have to restore.
Just put in the sim and it will take you back in the activation screen and it will then work with the new carriers sim without a restore or update.

Thanks for that. I was about to have a proper spaz-attack (see my U/N) at the thought of spending £70 to then have to un-JB my baby...
